    PE100 HDPE Pipes

PE100 — the highest-performance grade of HDPE pipe resin. Higher pressure rating, thinner walls, greater flow capacity, and lower material cost per meter than PE80.

    Standard

PE100 is the premium grade of polyethylene pipe resin, with a Minimum Required Strength (MRS) of 10 MPa — the highest classification under ISO 12162. TARKO manufactures all our HDPE pipes from PE100 virgin resin, giving them the best combination of pressure performance, wall thickness efficiency, and long-term reliability.

The practical advantage of PE100 over lower grades (PE80, PE63) is that for any given pressure class, PE100 pipes have thinner walls. This means a larger internal bore for the same outer diameter, which translates to higher flow capacity, lower pumping costs, and less material used per meter — all while maintaining the same pressure rating.

For example, a 110mm PN 10 pipe in PE100 has an SDR of 11 (wall thickness 10mm), giving an internal diameter of 90mm. The same pressure in PE80 requires SDR 9 (wall thickness 12.2mm), reducing the internal diameter to 85.6mm. Over a long pipeline, this 5% flow difference compounds into significant pumping energy savings.

TARKO sources PE100 compound from internationally certified resin producers and manufactures at our BIS-certified facility in MIDC Hingna, Nagpur. Every batch is tested for Melt Flow Rate (MFR), density, Oxidation Induction Time (OIT), and elongation at break before production, and every pipe is hydrostatically pressure-tested at 1.5× rated pressure before dispatch.

Why Choose TARKO PE100 HDPE Pipes?

Engineered for performance, certified for quality, priced for value.

MRS 10 MPa — Highest Grade

Minimum Required Strength of 10 MPa per ISO 12162 — the highest PE pipe classification, enabling higher pressures at thinner walls.

    Thinner Walls, Greater Flow

For any pressure class, PE100 uses less material than PE80/PE63 while providing a larger internal bore — more water flow per pipe.

    Slow Crack Growth Resistant

PE100 bimodal resins have exceptional resistance to slow crack growth (SCG) — the primary failure mode in polyethylene pipes.

    50+ Year Design Life

Long-term hydrostatic strength verified per ISO 9080 for a minimum 50-year design life at rated pressure and temperature.

    100% Virgin Resin

TARKO uses only virgin PE100 compound — never recycled, regrind, or off-spec resin. Every batch tested for MFR, density, and OIT.

    Impact & Fatigue Resistant

PE100's bimodal molecular structure gives excellent impact resistance even at low temperatures, and resists fatigue from cyclic pressure.

    Applications

    • High-pressure municipal water supply (PN 10–16)
    • Industrial process water and effluent lines
    • Gas distribution networks (PE100 is the global standard)
    • Mining slurry and tailings pipelines
    • Gravity sewerage and drainage (large-diameter)
    • Infrastructure projects — Smart Cities, JJM, AMRUT

    Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about PE100 HDPE Pipes

PE100 has a Minimum Required Strength (MRS) of 10 MPa vs 8 MPa for PE80. This means PE100 pipes can achieve the same pressure rating with thinner walls, resulting in a larger internal bore, higher flow capacity, and less material cost. PE100 also has superior slow crack growth resistance.
Yes, for most applications. PE100 gives you higher pressure rating, more flow capacity, and better long-term reliability per unit cost. PE80 is still used in some lower-pressure agricultural applications where its slightly lower cost per kg is an advantage.
MRS stands for Minimum Required Strength — the minimum stress the pipe material can sustain continuously for 50 years at 20°C without failure. PE100 at 10 MPa is the highest HDPE classification, meaning it can handle higher pressures with less material than lower grades.
Yes, exclusively. We never use recycled, regrind, or off-spec resin. Every batch of PE100 compound is tested for Melt Flow Rate, density, Oxidation Induction Time, and carbon black content before it enters production.
TARKO manufactures PE100 pipes from SDR 6 (PN 20 — very high pressure) to SDR 41 (PN 2.5 — gravity flow). The most common are SDR 11 (PN 16), SDR 13.6 (PN 12.5), SDR 17 (PN 10), and SDR 21 (PN 8).
